Part 3: Present Impressions - Weltch
What zones do you play now (or plan to when they are re-released)?
CTF, GravBall and BoomBall X when it comes up.

Which zone is/was your favourite? Why?
CTF of course, the name is always the same, and never the same. It's hard to explain; the main thing is you have choices to what you want to do. You are not confined to simply run and shoot like other zones.

What are your primary CTF classes at the moment?
Infantry and Squad Leader. Infantry right now has 3 of the lamest weapons in the game: the CAW, Assault Shotgun and Incinerator. I love all the grenades you get as a SL.

How do you equip your primary CTF class?
Infantry and SL: CMP6 Assault Armor, IDF Generator, Suit Supercharger, Enhanced Sensors
Infantry: Maklov G2 ACW and Close Assault Weapon
SL: Incinerator and Titan Arms BR01

What tactics or strategies do you use with your primary CTF class?
Right now with my Infantry, I am basically being a base bitch: stand and fire and avoid dying, being a bounty whore. With my SL, I usually go to the enemy and summon or suicide grenade runs into the base.

Have you any advice for those who just began playing your primary CTF class?
Living is much more important as an Infantry than anything. It's better to back off and wait for more buddies to come back than to continue to fight 1-on-the world. Numbers in most instances will win over skill anyday.

What is the biggest change from the Infantry you first played and now?
This will sound hella "vetish", but the game is almost aimed towards newbies now, other than CTF and GravBall. Good players don't have many other places to play. Skirmish and Mechanized Skirmish, WarZone Alpha, and Chambert's Moon are all "run, shoot, die, repeat" style zones and really are no skill needed zones in my opinion.

Do/Did you participate in any other Infantry-related matters? If so, in what capacity?
Right now, I have three things I do "for" Infantry: I help run IFL; post occasional news on Spec Freq; and helping set up the Moderator (Mod) system that will be implemented into Infantry eventually.

What is your most memorable experience in Infantry?
I really have too many. The USA vs Canada game stands out though. That was pretty fun.

If you could change one thing about Infantry, what would it be?
To be honest, I would rather change the players a bit more than the game. Make the players understand a little better what it really takes to make this game run. Most bitch at Yankee or JeffP about changes they make or don't make, never thinking of how much work it would take to do some of the stuff they scream about and whine about.

What would you rate Infantry on a scale of 1-100 right now?
85. I'll explain why: the game has kind of played more towards the new players and semi-forgot about the vets who helped make this game what it is today. To most vets, I feel they think the zones are to simple and get boring quickly.
