Part 1: Newbism - Weltch
How did you learn about Infantry?
A friend of mine, Dashiz, who played SubSpace for a while told me about the Open Beta that you could sign up for.

When did you first play Infantry?
Can't give a sure answer on that, I'd say a month before the Beta actually began.

Your first alias was?
Weltch

Which zone did you play first?
Beta Zone of course, only one up at that time.

What was your impression when you logged-in for the first time?
It was pretty cool, but being a newbie everything seems pretty chaotic. Also, I picked Engineer to begin with and didn't understand for around 3 days how to change to something else.

What were your first words in the chats?
The typical newbie question, like "How do I..."

What was your first class? How did you outfit him/her?
Heavy I think. At the start, I just picked the coolest name and went. Later on, I figured out what was and wasn't good.

How long did it take you to learn how to shoot? To strafe?
I learned to shoot rather quickly, because Dashiz knew the SS system pretty well and figured it out quick. I learned to strafe sometime around when TP first came up.

Who was your first friend, and how did you meet him/her?
Other than Dashiz, Precursor is the first that really comes to mind.

Who was your first enemy, and how did you meet him/her?
zc321 4 life.

When did you realize that Infantry was worth playing?
Beta Zone: it was simply awesome, and when TP came up I got drug in deeper into the game.

What else do you remember best of your first days?
Just the love of the game, it was just so different from anything else that I had played; it ruled.
