Part 2: Squadron Relations - BioPlague
When did you learn about squads? How?
I learned early on about squads, and initially saw them as bands of meany thugs that picked on me a lot. That helped me grow because I have a bit of a mean streak in me, and I was not going to let these bullies beat up on me without feeling some pain in return. I guess thats what Tazb saw in me. He was the first to ask me to join a squad. My first fear was that I would have to change my name, which I had just re-acquired from one of my brothers. I was also afraid that the rest of the squad would not like me, because I was female and probably older than most, etc. But Tazb said no need to change my name and just to have fun, so I did.

Which squad was your first? How did you join it?
V-Tech will be the only squad I will ever be in, for Infantry. Like I said, Tazb asked me to join, back on the original CTF Twin Peaks map. I played Heavy Weapons a lot, but I was also Engineer a lot as well, and could always fall back to Infantry when raw killing was needed. The rest of the group that were assembled for the squad had the same talent and flexibility, which has helped to keep it fun for us over the time we have spent together. V-Tech has seen a lot of weather, and roughed it out; I am really proud, and honored to be a part of that bunch of people.

Describe your initial reaction when you joined this squad.
Initially, I felt like I had been inducted into a branch of the armed forces, which was great because that's what game-playing is all about for me: immersion. But I was a little apprehensive. It did not take long to warm up, and I made friends and enemies alike, in rapid succession.

How was your first practice like?
To be quite frank, I simply don't have the reflexes that most of the online gaming community has, due to the laws of physics and nature. However what I lack in raw talent, I can make up for in experience of having done something a trillion times already. Not only that, but when I was first in V-Tech, I had a very bad connection as discussed earlier, and of course, no experience hehe. Needless to say, I think they pretty much relegated me to base protection after the first practice, to ensure that I was not blowing up our offense more quickly than the enemy could.

Explain your first ever scrim/match.
I would actually have to do research on that. I could tell you that from the beginning, we were always a strong team. Gosh, so many squads have been around at one point or another.
I do remember that early on V-Tech took a pledge to remain quiet as a squad throughout squad matches, which has been hard to pass along to the new members, but we try. I believe if I remember correctly our first match proved that decision to be a valuable one. I know we were strong from the start, and had a lot of fun games.

Did you join any other squads? If so, which ones?
I have been in what I would like to consider factions of V-Tech, in any of the WZA teams I made, it was customary for the presiding squad to so name the team, which I tried not to do, starting teams like Newbies United, Happy Bouncy Bunnies, stupid names like that where squads formed as a result without my knowledge or help. Also I helped the fractioning of a team within a zone where the fractioned squad/team would have inter-linking chats to further strengthen the whole. That is I wanted the Black Widow squad to be a sub-division of V-Tech in WZA thus expanding my iron grip upon the region...umm...
Did I say that? Anywho, really V-Tech is the only squad, and if you see another squad name next to mine it's a temporary stunt for something, and would never be anything official.

What squad are you with now? What is your role?
I am in V-Tech as whatever role they need. I primarily play Heavy Weapons, though I am called to be Engineer on occasion, which is fine because I love the art of base interior decorations.

Which of your squads did you like the best? Why?
I have always liked V-Tech the best because of the teamwork, and the way in which it formed and has maintained itself. I see V-Tech as layered instead of tiered, as you would expect military-like squads to be: rank and file. -Tech has a solid core of members, any of which could take over for the entirety of the core if needed, and then layered upon with protective new players and squadies. I have always really liked V-Tech for their recruiting habits, in that we are open to all suggestions.

What else do you remember best of your squad experiences?
The squad matches in CTF, and what we did as team(s) in WZA were my favorite memories. I wouldn't play if it weren't fun, and I have played for quite awhile now.
